Overview and Home Page

SWAYBO training and lecture sessions are held each Tuesday in Atlanta.  Under the leadership of Ed Menifee and staff, each Tuesday session begins at 6pm and ends at 8pm at the Atlanta Business League.  Additionally, SWAYBO members gain practical experience during sessions held on Saturdays, which last about three hours.  As a culmination, SWAYBO members learn international business first hand during the Annual Educational Excursion.

Membership in SWAYBO is open to young people, ages 7 through 21.  The SWAYBO training concept has been designed to fulfill several objectives:

 - To encourage the field of business

 - To create awareness of the economic system and how it affects the individual consumer

 - To identify specific problems encountered in pursuing the business field and the causes of each

 - To determine effective ways to begin immediate construction of business plans

 - To create the awareness or the presence of business techniques in various endeavors

 - To teach the significance of certain terms used in business

 - To explain various types of businesses that may be pursued

 - To acquaint the youth with the world of work

 - To provide motivation for personal success in all ventures or fields of endeavor

 - To offer the youth a practical business experience
